The Flunk tradition is to have an annual Christmas party, "julebord" in Norwegian, with a big dinner and plenty of drinks. A kind of blast in the dark, before the festive season, around the time of winter solstice.The previous collection, "Cover Ups – The Home Recordings", was released digitally in 2016, a compilation of such Christmas party recordings. Including TV drama hit "Only You" (by Yazoo), featured on the Designated Survivor TV-series. The new collection has also been put together with some "julebord recordings", some acoustic studio recordings, and some recordings from Anja's cabin deep in the woods outside Oslo. In addition to some cover favourites, the band also recorded new takes on some old Flunk songs. The covers include Rod Stewart / Everything But The Girl broken heart classic "I Don't Want To Talk About It" and Simon & Gafunkel's "The Sound of Silence". Other recordings include covers by Jesus and Mary Chain, The Stranglers, Soft Cell and Radiohead. The first Cover Ups are on LP1, while the new Cover Ups are on LP2.
